It's not my place to tell you you are "wrong". You have an opinion, and that's great. I respect that.

Having said that, there are ways to make money without an investment of cash. There is always an investment of something, and in this case it is time.

This challenge so far has netted me work and clients I didn't have previously, and many more leads than I have ever found using "normal" cash-based advertising methods.

Was it worth it to me? Without question. Would it be to you? I don't know.

As for 'doing something for nothing', I disagree with your observation. Beggars and fundraisers invest their time (as I am doing here with this challenge) to make money, as do gardeners, cooks and almost every other service you can think of. We all invest our time to make something: money, relationships and so forth. Is that nothing? Again, that's a moral decision for yourself and any other philosophers out there.
