If you’ve ever reviewed an SEO article on one of the thousands of article submission sites, you’ll see a resource box at the very end that describes the author and provides a link to, well, something. These short blurbs are crucial to your SEO article writing success and are the focus of this explanatory piece.
Many SEO article resource boxes are dry. They tell the reader only what is necessary - who wrote the SEO article and how to get more information. As a copywriter, I see these blurbs as another simple, free tactic to sell your products or services. Why bungle it with boredom?
Let's say your SEO article is about job searching. If you wrote what everyone else does with their SEO article blurbs, it would look something like this:
John Smith is the owner of FindAJob.biz. For more job searching techniques, visit him at his website.
Boooooring.
Instead, try selling the website with some humor, like:
Break free from McDonald's and get yourself a REAL job!
Personally, I'd click on that link, even if I'm not in the market for a job. I'd be intrigued about the person who wrote it, and if they could deliver on their REAL job promise.
Getting readers to click on your SEO article resource box is the second most important part of the article writing process. Do it right and you'll increase visits to your site incrementally and quickly.
