What follows is a list of sample questions for behavioral interviews to get your creative juices flowing in the right direction. Feel free to use these questions word for word in your behavioral interviews, or adapt them for your individual entrepreneurial needs. Sample Job Interview Questions To Determine Job Candidate Flexibility

  1. Tell me about a situation where you had to adapt to a change of which you felt you had no control in the workplace.
  2. It happens where we have to work with or for people who's work style differs dramatically from our own. Can you tell me about a time when you needed to demonstrate the ability to adapt to a colleague's work style to finish a project?
  3. Have you ever accepted work with which you weren't sure how you'd go about getting it done? What happened? How did you end up finishing the required project?
  4. I'd like to hear about a time when your flexibility allowed you to avoid a potentially difficult or challenging situation. Please be as specific as possible.
  5. Who was the most demanding supervisor or manager that you've ever worked for, and how did you adapt to work within their required guidelines and/or workplace style?
  6. At times a project's focus can change midway through the process. Tell me about a time where something you were working on was changed midstream and how you adapted.
  7. Tell me about a time when it seemed like there were constantly changing priorities, policies and procedures within a company you've worked for. How did you adapt? Be specific.
  8. Discuss with me how you manage a varied work environment where there are many projects and priorities on the go at once. How do you prioritize?
  9. Have you ever made a decision where there was no policy in place to support you? Tell me about it.
  10. For managers: Tell us about the most important idea one of your staff members has put forth in the past six months. Why was it important? How did you respond? Was there an outcome?
