Therefore, these free interview questions are intended to get your creative juices flowing, specifically in the realm of motivation. Feel free to use these free interview questions in your behavioral job interviews, or adapt them for your own needs.
Sample Job Interview Questions to Determine a Job Candidate's Motivational Skills and Issues
- Describe for me a situation where you had a positive effect on someone. What did you do? How did the other person react? Why do you think what happened, happened?
- Tell me about the job position that satisfied you the most. How about the least? What made each one more or less satisfying to you?
- What type of job-related rewards - both monetary and otherwise - hold the most meaning for you? Which do not motivate you at all? Why?
- Tell me about the aspects of your life that you feel very passionate about.
- What aspects of your life and/or career have lived up to your personal expectations? Which haven't? Why and why not?
- Tell me about something you are excited about or looking forward to.
- Discuss with me a time when you pulled your team together via morale building. Did it work for everyone in your team? Why or why not?
- Give me an example of a time when you felt that someone wasn't being honest with you in the workplace, and what you did about it.
- Tell me about an important goal that you've set for yourself. Have you been successful? Why or why not?
- Describe to me a colleague that you feel has become successful in his or her career. Give specifics.
- Describe to me a supervisor you've worked with that got the best work out of you. Why was this person able to motivate you better than any other?
- Give me an example of a time when you went above and beyond the call of duty with a client.
