How to Submit Articles to Article Websites

The last in our seven part series on Article Writing for Search Engine Traffic, Article Submission will demonstrate how to get your SEO articles into the hands of many.

Your SEO articles are written, optimized and have a resource box. The last step of attracting search engine hits is to submit articles to two different types of websites with the hopes that they will post them, therefore directing traffic back to you.

Option #1: Submit Article to Similar Websites

The first and less obvious of the two are websites that cater to a similar clientele as yours. Think about who would find your article interesting and informative, and then think about where they would hang out virtually. See if there are eZines or regular magazines that cater to the same group (there surely are). Then, send an email to the Editor, Owner or Webmaster with a copy of your article, offering it up for publication with their organization. Make sure to keep the resource box at the end of the piece so that it gets printed as well. You may not get paid for this (but consider it a pleasant surprise if you do!), but you will get free advertising.

Option #2: Submit Article to Article Submission Sites

The other option for article submission is the thousands of websites out there that cater to business owners looking for free content. These sites can be gold mines for a business trying to garner more visitors and customers; if one larger newsletter or website picks up just one of your SEO articles, you can get millions of new eyes looking at your wares in mere days.

Since there are many, many article submission sites currently, it is easier to find software that will automate the process for you. Of course, you can submit your articles manually, but it will probably take you several days instead of several hours to complete the process.

Article Submission Programs

ArticlePro ($47), Article Submission Wizard ($87), and Instant Article Submitter ($97) are pay-per-use programs that allow you to automate the article submission process, although the initial start up is still a bit tedious because you still have to register for all of the websites - but these are also the most reliable and inexpensive option in the long run.

Freebie ArticleDistributor (direct link to .zip file) offers a similar process, but some of the bugs still being worked out are a bit tiresome and time consuming.

Because of these issues, I moved my article submission business over to iSnare ($10 for five article submissions), effectively removing the hassle of signing up for all of the article submission websites individually while still getting the same (or better) results.
